Welcome to the Wangaratta Fly Fishing Club
The WFFC is one of the oldest FLY CLUBS in Victoria. We are a group of fly fishermen dedicated to improving our skills and we fish together regularly. We chase our quarry throughout the Australian High Country, Tasmania, New Zealand, and last year a couple of members even ventured to Christmas Island targeting Bonefish.
We undertake regular weekend trips during the fishing season and coordinate our activities by meeting monthly. During the off season we work on our skills, both casting and fly tying to improve our catch rate and enjoyment of the sport.
We also support and have representation to the CVFFC (Council of Victorian Fly Fishing Clubs) and VRFish, whose role it is to provide an effective voice from fly fishermen to government agencies on the maintenance and development of the trout fishery in Victoria.
The WFFC is a wonderful resource for those wanting to enter the exciting world of fly fishing.
The club meets on the first Wednesday of each month at the Rotary Log Cabin - 28 Chisholm Street Wangaratta, VIC. Any fly fishers visiting the area are most welcome to attend.
